SAK Limited in Malta is a retail company that represents different brands including The Body Shop, Calzedonia, Tezenis, and Intimissimi. They are currently seeking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their team.
Whilst reporting to the Finance Manager, the chosen applicant will be:
- Supervising a small team within the retail finance section;
- Monitoring and preparing month-end balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis;
- Aiding in the yearly strategic business plan, cost allocation, exercises, forecasting, and budgets;
- Performing a financial analysis of the business operations, and preparing reports that are required by the company; and,
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and making recommendations to improve business operations based on thorough analysis.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be in the mid to final stages of attaining ACCA or equivalent;
- Have at least two years of experience working in an accounting role;
- Be able to lead a small team within the finance unit;
- Hold good knowledge of excel; and,
- Have excellent communication skills in English.
- Showing strong analytical and reasoning skills are essential criteria for this role as is having strong negotiation skills.
