Junior Accountant

Our Client is looking to hire a Junior Accountant to join their growing team

Responsibilities: 

• Handling inventory inputting
• Processing of supplier invoices
• Preparing reconciliations of supplier accounts and issuing payments to suppliers
• Effecting payments on an internet banking platform
• Handling the day-to-day operational requirements including communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Generating and issuing of invoices to clients
• Reconciliation of debtors’ balances and subsequent follow-up with debtors
• Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns
• Preparing accounts up to trial balance stage
• Assisting in the process to prepare periodical management accounts and in year-end processes

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in SAP system will be an asset
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
• Have a good command of the English and Maltese language
• Have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel

• The successful candidate must be either in the early stages of ACCA or equivalent
