Junior Accountant

Our client, an established group that operates within the maritime and hospitality sectors, is currently looking to recruit a Junior Accountant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Performing general accounting duties and activities including but not limited to the preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis of variances
• Responsible for month-end accounting procedures and reconciliations
• Reconciling bank statements on a monthly basis, including monitoring of deposit
• Managing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring processing of payments and receivables is efficient and timely
• Preparing and submitting of the quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting in the annual statutory audit process and liaising with external auditors
• Assisting the Head of Finance with the preparation of Financial Statements
• Assisting the Head of Finance with ad hoc tasks arising from time to time
