Head of Audit and Assurance

One of our key and highly reputable clients, specialising in Financial and Corporate Services is currently looking to onboard a Head of Audit and Assurance to join their team of professionals: This person will be heading the respective department:

Duties:

• Be Responsible for the Audit and Assurance Department
• Building and leading teams effectively, ensuring service levels and standards are maintained
• Implementing policies and procedures to assist the firm in reaching the goals and objectives set out for the Audit and Assurance Department as determined in Group's strategic plan
• Developing and implementing comprehensive processes on the respective products and services offered by the Audit and Assurance Department
• To increase the efficiency of staff and profitability of the Audit and Assurance Department
• To continue implementing correct audit methodology and risk assessment within the department to mitigate the audit risk
• To enhance efficiency and productivity by encouraging staff to undergo further training, improvement programs, and recruitment of new staff
• Conduct audit reviews

• Minimum of five (5) years in a senior managerial role preferably in a mid-tier or big -4 audit firm
• Must have excellent communication skills in English and preferably be fluent in Maltese
• Good Communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent managerial skills
• Excellent comprehension in usage of Microsoft packages

• Must be in possession of both a CPA and PCA Warrant
• Must be fully ACCA qualified, or hold a University Degree, or equivalent
