Head of Accounting

Our client that operates within the Energy sector is currently looking to recruit a Head of Accounting to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated management accounts and financial reports
• Management of the accounts payable function
• Manage the payment of invoices and the principal and interest payments on loans
• Preparation of VAT returns and reconcile same to ledgers
• Preparation of reporting to key external stakeholders
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, statements and records
• Petty cash payments and cheques
• Liaising with external auditors and assist in the preparation of supporting documentation and disclosures information
• Ensure controls are kept up to date and followed
• Identify key areas of process improvements and automation
