Financial Controller

Our client, an international company is looking for a Financial Controller to join their growing organizational structure. This person will be overseeing the accounting function and ensuring records are kept appropriately

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the annual financial statements and annual budget.
• Oversee and review the preparation of the monthly management accounts and forecasts.
• Oversee and review the weekly rolling cashflow.
• Oversee the month end process, identifying and implementing suggestions for improvement to further streamline reporting.
• Review the VAT returns, tax computations and tax returns.
• Review the intra-group transactions and balances.
• Oversee the preparation of bank reconciliations.
• Liaise with internal and external audits to ensure smooth running of audits.
• Ensure accounting records are appropriately maintained.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures, identifying and implementing suggestions for improvements to ensure robust and suitable policies and controls in line with best practice.
• Ensure compliance with the Capital Market Rules in reporting matters
• Provide leadership and support to the accounting team to enhance and promote development and growth.
• Prepare any ad hoc reporting as may be requested by the management

Requirements

• A minimum 5 years of local experience in a similar role up to the preparation of budgeting, forecasting etc
• Experience with consolidations
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English

Education and Experience

• Fully-qualified through ACCA or equivalent
