Our client, operating within the hospitality industry, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller to form part of their team. Reporting to the Group CFO, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
Preparing the financial statements and management accounts including commentaries.
Preparing budgets and financial plans.
Analysing management accounts by understanding and identifying trends and variances.
Examining all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
Preparing and managing cash flow.
Supervising and managing the finance department including payroll.
Motivating and leading finance team members by clarifying roles and providing feedback
Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Establishing and implementing financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
Compiling and submitting VAT returns.
Dealing and liaising with the Chief Financial Officer.
Compiling any ad-hoc reporting that might be requested from time to time.
Skill-sets and Requirements
Proven work experience in a similar position
Solid knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
