Financial Controller

Out client, an international energy company, is currently looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly reports and analytics for presentation to management and the board of directors
• Review of key financial information
• Preparation of reporting to key external stakeholders
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to create annual budgets, period forecasts and cashflow reporting
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to be updated as required
• Develop and maintain the control environment by ensuring compliance with internal controls across the company
• Take a leading role in the implementation of new IFRS standards
• Identifying key areas of process improvements and automation

Education & Experience:

• The successful candidate will hold an accounting certification
• 5-10 years’ experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and controlling
• Experience in working with complex financial models

Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of accounting practices and principles
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Nav will be considered an asset
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
