Financial Accountant

Our client is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team, with the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities:​

• Month-end support with focus on journal preparation and posting, accruals and prepayments calculations and flash reporting
• Preparation of monthly financial reporting and analytical reviews
• Supporting the audit of the statutory financial statements to ensure all audits are completed on time and accounts filed by required deadline
• Preparing cashflow forecasts
• Review and monitor cost management processes 
• Ensure good controls are in place around spend
• Cost approvals and coding
• Manage accruals accordingly by scrutinising the underlying data
• Understanding all the balances in the financial statements
• Assist colleagues with issuing of invoices as well as assisting with credit control
• Driving improvement of financial processes and controls
• Support with the clearance of suspense/transitory accounts
• Working hand in hand with Treasury, AR and AP teams in the Service Centres

• A minimum of 2 years relevant local experience of accounting
• Financial Accounting and reporting experience would be considered an asset
• Able to challenge and be resiliant
