Group Accountant

Our client, a prominent company operating in the Hospitality & Retail sector is looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Group Accountant. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the financial operation of some companies within the group.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and handling the day-to-day accounting tasks including monthly reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and other financial reports
• Preparing and filing of VAT returns, Eco Contribution returns and any other statutory reporting required
• Supervise and oversee the work of junior staff members
• Preparing reports for monthly management accounts
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Monitoring of credit control
• Assist with the annual audit
• Other ad hoc duties as needed from time to time

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of previous local experience in a similar role up until the preparation of management accounts
• Hospitality experience will be considered a strong asset
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast paced environment

Education and Experience

• Actively studying ACCA or equivalent
