Finance Officer (South of Malta)

Our client within the Manufacturing industry is looking for a Finance Officer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Administering the credit control and debtor control functions and ascertain timely escalation of payables due for payment;
• Take ownership in stock counts and reconciling all counts of consumables to the recorded balances in the systems and reporting back to the CFO any discrepancies highlighted
• Conducting of reconciliations
• Preparation of the VAT return for vetting and submission by the CFO
• Liaising with external auditors when required
• Ensure quality control and strong governance over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Ensure continuous cost control through in depth analysis to keep running at the lowest cost principle
• Assisting in the monthly preparation budgeting, monthly Management Accounts and the annual Financial Statements
• Taking lead within the Department in the absence of the CFO
• Assisting the Finance Department within any other ad-hoc tasks allocated from time to time

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years previous local experience in a similar role
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications

• A' level in Accounts or equivalent
