Pit Stop Service Complex in Malta is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.
Job Role:
A vacancy has arisen for the post of a Finance Officer within the Finance Department of Sea View & Sons Ltd. Forming part of the Schembri Group of Companies, this Company handles the Petrol Stations arm of the Group and operates the Pit Stop Service Complex at Attard and another petrol station soon opening on the island. Reporting to the Group’s Financial Controller, the selected candidate will be expected to maintain proper accounting records to ensure with all the team that the group’s accounts, present an accurate representation of the results to date and the respective assets and liabilities.
The key responsibilities for the selected candidate shall include:
Processing of daily transactions in the Company’s ERP System;
Daily cash reconciliations;
Responsible for the handling of inventory;
Supplier’s statements’ reconciliations;
Responsible for intergroup balances reconciliations;
Processing of petty cash documentation;
Preparation of monthly financial reports;
Responsible for the submission of statistical data required for the group;
Assistance in ensuring that the internal controls for involved areas are functioning and suggesting ideas for adding value where necessary;
Be competent in the use of standard office tools and Windows related packages
Any other tasks that might be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Eligible candidates are expected to possess at least an ‘A’ level in Accounts however further studies through ACCA or any other equivalent qualification in Accountancy will be considered as an asset;
He/she is expected to possess the right qualities to be effective in this role: good interpersonal skills, can-do attitude, hard-working, attention to detail, and be a self-motivated individual.
