Finance Manager

Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The successful talent will be responsible to manage accounting records, ensuring compliance with regulations, preparing management accounts, overseeing accounting operations, analysing financial data, taking a leading role in the auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and other internal financial reports
• Performance analysis in line with pre-set deadlines
• Using management accounting techniques to generate data and information relevant to decision making
• Correctly applying the latest accounting procedures in line with applicable financial reporting standards (such as IFRS) and relevant legislation
• Overseeing accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records and control accounts including cash control and inventory-related records
• Supervising and assisting the finance team with day-to-day activity including bookkeeping clerks
• Assisting in treasury requirements of the company including preparing supplier payments
• Assisting in the preparation of budget financial statements
• Liaising with external auditors before and during the yearly statutory audit
• Preparing, reviewing, and timely submitting quarterly VAT returns.

 
Requirements:

• Ideally demonstrate 2-3 years of experience working as an Accountant or similar
• Preferably be mid-way through ACCA qualification
• Demonstrate advances in MS Excel skills
• Possess a solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
