An esteemed FinTech client of ours working in the is looking to recruit a Finance Executive into their growing team.
Responsibilities:
General ledgers: Maintaining financial and general ledgers, including the preparation of journal entries, accounts analysis and reconciliation
Banks: Conduct and formalise bank reconciliations of the Company’s various corporate and other accounts
Accruals and prepayment: Preparation of monthly accruals and prepayments as required
Month-end: Overview that the daily bookkeeping process to ensure month-end and other reporting are issued in a timely manner and assist in the drawing up of the monthly management account.
VAT Returns: Assist in the preparation and timely reporting of VAT Returns and any other company or country specifics reports to authorities
External Audits: Assisting in preparation of the annual financial accounts for and liaise with external auditors
Internal Audits: Assisting in preparation of information required for and liaise with internal auditors
Cashflow: Assist in the monitoring of cash flow sufficiency planning to ensure monthly payments are issued within the agreed credit terms
Policies and Procedures: Assist in the drawing up of policies and procedures, particularly those affecting finance processes
Liaise with the Operations Department to ensure Customer deposits and withdrawal are correctly recorded and reconciled
Communication: Establish strong intra group communication with all departments, particularly with Operations and Risk department for support and reconciliation of information
Working proactively to improve workflows were deemed necessary
Other ad-hoc assignments as assigned by management from time to time
Skill-sets and Requirements
A minimum of three years of experience within an accounting function is important
Knowledge of investment and/or bank-specific products especially in the field of securities and derivatives would be considered an asset
Must be ready to work within a team and must be able to work with minimal supervision
Education & Experience
Have a degree in Accountancy/ACCA or in the final stages of obtaining.
