Deputy Financial Controller

Our client, an international organization within the Energy field is seeking to recruit a Deputy Financial Controller to join their Finance team. The selected candidate will be reporting to the Financial Controller and have the following responsibilities:

• Assisting with the process and preparation of the annual budgets
• Updating and monitoring forecasts as required
• Updating the financial models of the company
• Preparing monthly reporting including analyses on the variances against budgets
• Participating in the closure of the end of month
• Preparing monthly invoicing and presenting these to the management
• Liaising with the technical teams and contractors to obtain the correct information to be used in monthly results and preparation of forecasts
• Issuing of reports as may be required
• Monitoring and developing of internal control procedures 

• Minimum two years working in a similar role
• Thorough knowledge of accounting practices, principles as well as good knowledge of the Maltese taxation
• Meticulous and excellent eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Problem solver with a strong analytical mindset
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Fully qualified accountant/In the last stages of obtaining the ACCA qualification
