Credit Controller

DHL International Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role: 
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role of Credit Control would ensure that DHL customers are correctly paying and settling their outstanding payments as per credit terms. Some of the tasks are not limited to just these but include:

• Allocate received payments to their respective debtor account in the accounting system
• Undertake account reconciliations/analysis as required
• Follow up payment performance, chase outstanding invoices to keep within set KPIs
• Calling customers to chase payment for outstanding debts
• Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity, including detailed notes on accounting systems
• Dealing with client invoice queries by phone & email
• Liaise with lawyer on legal matters regarding debtors

• Excellent communication skills in English and preferably Maltese, both verbal and written.
• Excellent telephone manner
• Experience with MS Office packages, and Accounting systems
• Able to work in a team & assertive and able to take decisions
• A basic understanding of accounts is required, accounting qualifications will be considered an asset.
