Client Accounting Senior

An opportunity has arisen to join A2CO’s growing and dynamic team to work as a Client Accountant on a diversified portfolio of local and foreign clients.

The day-to-day duties for our portfolio of clients differs from the usual tedious bookkeeping – while we still maintain our clients’ books, assist them with their management reporting needs, and handle their VAT compliance obligations, our diverse portfolio promises working alongside our closely knit teams of lawyers, tax advisors and corporate professionals. Coupled with exposure to numerous industries including iGaming, venture capital and crypto, this position ensures that you gather proper experience that will shape your career.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Record financial transactions for a portfolio of local and international clients

• Perform periodical reconciliations

• Prepare management reporting

• Prepare VAT reporting

• Review work of junior team members

• Work alongside colleagues from our legal, corporate and tax teams on engagements that are not solely accounting related

• Support management with ad-hoc client requests

• Mentor and support junior team members

Requirements:

• A team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude

• Applicants must be in possession of, or currently pursuing, a Degree or qualification in Accounting, such as ACCA.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting or Auditing

• Curiosity to learn and ambitious to grow

• Attention to detail and quality oriented

• Ability to work under own initiative

• Experience with accounting software

• Proficient in MS Excel

• Excellent written and verbal Maltese and English
