Assistant Tax Manager

Our client is one of the leading companies in the Aviation industry locally looking for an Assistant Tax Manager. Reporting to the Group Head of Tax based locally, your responsibilities will include: 

• Maintaining an up-to-date tax filing calendar for all group entities and communicate with the responsible accounting team members and external tax service providers in a timely manner to ensure all tax filing deadlines are met
• Preparing monthly current and deferred tax provisions as part of the management reporting process
• Communicating with the treasury team to ensure timely settlement of tax amounts due to the tax authorities
• Overseeing the VAT Return preparation process and review the VAT workings 
• Ensuring tax calculations and workpapers prepared by external tax service providers are accurate and support tax positions taken on returns
