SR Technics in Malta is looking to recruit an Accounts Specialist (General Ledger) to join their team on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate will be responsible for General Ledger functions including month-end, Audit and Tax. Ensure full compliance with local accounting requirements and Group timelines.

Your tasks:
  • To promote a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organization;
  • To ensure that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained, and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual;
  • Close the books with minimal errors with no major impact on the Financial Result;
  • Complete the Intercompany Confirmation within the time frame given;
  • Fulfill all the Group timelines i.e. rental commitment, capital commitment, and reporting pack;
  • Raise the cost-plus invoicing before the 10th of the following month;
  • Monitor the GRIR items with more than 60 days and corrective measures are taken on a prompt basis;
  • Escalate mismatch to management. The aging of GRIR should not be more than 90 days;
  • Perform Bank Reconciliation and ensure that no reconciling items as of month-end before the 10th of the following month;
  • Balance Sheet Schedules are completed latest by 10th of the following month;
  • Transparency on all Investment Request Vs Actual Capitalization Vs the Capex Budget;
  • Sufficient provision for impairment of inventories and supported with proper calculation;
  • Complete the Audit and Tax exercise within the Group and Statutory time frame.

Requirements:
  • Diploma/ Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent professional certification;
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Finance or Finance related function;
  • Preferably with SAP experience;
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards;
  • Good written and oral communication in English;
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
