Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:
The ideal candidate should be an ambitious, determined and highly motivated individual who is willing to embark on a career in hospitality. To assist the Credit & Accounts Receivable Manager with ensuring the Accounts Receivable function for the hotel resulting in a positive cash flow for the hotel; by processing and issuing invoices; collecting and processing payments on Group and Individual bills owed to the hotel; by providing timely and accurate financial information; and by liaising between clients and the relevant departments of the hotels in order to answer client queries, whether these are presented via telephone or correspondence.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all hotels’ revenues settled by the city ledger are accurately recorded as well as supported by relevant contracts, authorizations and guarantee letters; and sent to clients in a timely manner
  • Ensures prompt and accurate payment of approved invoices and pro forma invoices
  • Responsible for keeping a proper file of all correspondence, invoices and amounts due to the hotel from guests, concessionaires, tenants & employees
  • Ensures the accuracy of all charges and credits to the various accounts and that they are properly entered on a timely basis
  • Checks all accounts receivable charges from the previous day, received from the Night Auditor to ensure all supporting documents are attached and guest check signed by the customers
  • Ensures accounts and statements must be rendered on a timely basis
  • Monitoring of overdue accounts and related reconciliations
  • Prepares all necessary reports in regard to accounts receivable.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar capacity
  • Familiar with hotel accounting as well as operation
  • Demonstrate management of a high volume AR activity, with knowledge of associated controls and procedures
  • Experience with a Front Office management system (preferably Opera) is preferable
  • Good command of word processing skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Communicate clearly and concisely
  • An organised and methodical approach
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good time management for meeting strict deadlines
  • Preferable an O-Level standard of education.
