Accounts Executive

A client of ours specialised in Industrial Goods and Services is looking to onboard an Accounts Executive to join their team. 

This role requires a hands-on individual with sound accounting knowledge and strong organisational skills, who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting functions, including the accurate entry and processing of invoices, and handling general ledger tasks.
• Carry out supplier and bank reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure financial accuracy.
• Assist in issuing timely payments to suppliers and manage the overall payment cycle efficiently.
• Monitor and manage company cashflow to support financial planning.
• Support the external audit process by preparing relevant documentation and liaising with auditors.
• Participate in balance sheet account reconciliations and maintain up-to-date financial records.
• Monitor departmental spending and support cost control measures across the business.
• Coordinate logistics documentation where necessary, ensuring timely and accurate records.
• Contribute to operational improvements and provide ad hoc support to the Managing Director as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of Microsoft office especially Excel
• Excellent written and verbal knowledge in English

Education and Experience

• Minimum of A' level of Accounts or actively studying in Accounts
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or Odoo) and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English. and Maltese, holding local experience
• Able to work on own initiative while also contributing positively to a team environment.
