Accounts Executive

Our client, a well-established name within the industrial services sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to take the lead in managing their accounts receivable function. 

You'll be the go-to person for managing the receivables ledger, issuing invoices, and keeping cash flow on track. If you have a strong grip on numbers, a natural eye for detail, and a flair for communication, this could be a perfect fit.

Key responsibilities:

• Keeping the accounts receivables ledger up-to-date and accurate
• Preparing and issuing invoices and credit notes in line with company policies
• Monitoring customer accounts and following up on overdue payments via email and phone
• Recording and processing cash and cheque payments, ensuring timely banking
• Reconciling customer accounts and resolving discrepancies efficiently
• Liaising with internal teams to resolve billing-related queries
• Organising debtor meetings and reporting on collection status to management
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reconciliations relating to receivables and other financial records
• Supporting audit and compliance processes when required
• Handling occasional ad-hoc finance-related tasks as they arise

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts receivable role, ideally gained locally
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software
• A sound understanding of general accounting principles and receivables processes
• A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with a polite and professional approach

• A minimum of A'Level of Education in Accounting
