St. Edward's College in Malta is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their team on a part-time basis for a Definite period from April 2023 to December 2023.

Brief Job Description:

  • Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the bursar
  • Preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records
  • Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Execute accurate reporting, filing, and invoicing in the College’s financial database (SFM and MySchool)
  • Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, filing etc.
  • Process invoices/bills so they can be processed for payment.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations

Required skills and qualifications:
  • Natural proficiency with math
  • Knowledge of basic financial, and accounting principles
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with office productivity applications and aptitude for learning new systems.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on own initiative.
  • Proficient in the use of technology, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have basic knowledge of Shireburn Financial Management and the Myschool online system.


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Advanced level in Accounting and 12 months experience in a similar post
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal).


Working hours 

  • 0800hrs to 1300hrs
  • Monday to Friday.
