Accounts Administrator

JPMC in Malta is looking to recruit an Accounts Administrator to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Role: 
The role is ideal for a candidate who is either currently studying for a qualification or who intends to commence shortly.  It is also an ideal opportunity for the candidate to improve his or her knowledge and skills in various areas. The candidate must have a good command of Microsoft Office applications especially Microsoft Word and Excel.  The candidate must be an excellent team player since he or she shall also be liaising on a daily basis with the firms’ auditors, with other accountancy staff, local authorities (especially the Inland Revenue and Malta Business Registry), and also the firms’ clients.

Responsibilities: 

• Preparing and posting invoices including period-end bank reconciliations;
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns;
• Drafting financial statements;
• Performing general secretarial work and other duties which might be necessary.

Requirements: 

• Ideally have A’ level standard in Accounting;
• Ideally have a minimum of twelve months of similar experience;
• Be fluent in communicating in English and Maltese;
• Have a basic knowledge of computer skills especially in excel;
• Knowledge of Sage is considered to be an asset;
• Be dedicated and willing to work in a team;
• Have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
