Accountant
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Malta-based finance team and support our day-to-day bookkeeping and financial compliance. The ideal candidate will support in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting in the close process as well as other local and group finance topics. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across entities, takes ownership of their work, and is looking to grow in a multinational environment.
Key Accountabilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records for various legal entities, performing timely and accurate invoice, bank postings and general ledger entries in our ERP system (Sage X3).
• Support in the preparation of timely and accurate financial closings for month, quarter and year-end.
• Assist with compliance of VAT/Tax related topics as required.
• Support the finance team with any other bookkeeping and finance tasks as required.
• The role offers the opportunity to get involved in areas such as the preparation and review of Financial Statements, supporting a US subsidiary, documenting finance processes, supporting improvements in automation and quality control and contributing to group wide Financial Compliance topics such (e.g. ESG, Transfer Pricing). These responsibilities are not required, but will be available for candidates with the skills or interest to grow in these areas.
Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and general VAT rules.
• Proficiency in accounting software functionality basics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Ideally has international experience from a multinational company or serving international clients.
• Experience in the preparation and review of Financial Statements and documentation of finance processes will be considered an asset
