Accountant

An international start-up with a growing local presence is looking for an Accountant to join their team. The appointed individual will have the opportunity to grow with the business as they expand their operations locally and internationally. The role will involve, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial documents produced by the accounting department staff including sales invoices and debtors statements, purchase orders and remittance advices, etc.
• Preparing comprehensive management accounts on a monthly basis.
• Preparing VAT and any other legal returns and dealing with relevant authorities.
• Monitor cash flow.
• Deal with day-to-day banking requirements.
• Preparing annual budgets and forecasts based on the expectations of the directors.
• Control all costs in relation to the budget.
• Generally monitoring the performance of the business including the achievement of sales targets, profitability and the effective utilization of resources.
• Liaise with the statutory auditors.
• Assist with Payroll.
• Assisting in the migration of a new accounting software

• Fluency in English is a must
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• To have a hands on approach

• Fully qualified through ACCA or similar
• Minimum of 5 years of local accounting experience
