Our client, a Group of Companies operating within the construction industry, is looking for an Accountant to join its growing team
Your roles and responsibilities will include:
Postings of accounting records to the general ledger
Compilation of monthly bank reconciliation statements
Drawing up of quarterly management accounts
Overseeing cost and credit control
Processing of payments when they fall due
Preparation and submission of VAT and Tax Returns and any other Forms, such as those requested by the NSO, in a timely manner
Liaising with the auditors and assisting with the audit process
Attending and taking Minutes of weekly meetings held with the sole Director and his Management Team and actioning any decisions taken during such meetings in an efficient manner
Providing advice regarding potential work-related improvements within the Group
Identifying any training requirements for all the staff when necessary
Assisting in liaising with bank Executives on any banking matters, including KYC Reports
Reviewing the preparation for and the processing of payroll
Providing any accounting and administrative support as and when required
Any other ad hoc accounting and administrative requirements
Skill-sets and Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience working within an accounting function
Construction industry knowledge and experience will be considered as an asset and preferred for the job
Fluency in written and spoken Maltese and English is required, knowledge of Italian will be an advantage.
Must be Microsoft Office proficient and knowledge of Shireburn software is essential
Be able to work under pressure
Must also be flexible and provide substitutability
Education & Experience
Fully qualified warranted through ACCA or equivalent
