Accountant

An Accountant position is currently available with s a well-established manufacturing company that has an international presence. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager your responsibilities include: 

• Managing the day-to-day accounting activities
• The posting and issuing of invoices
• Updating and maintaining journals
• The preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
• Handling weekly debt collection
• Handling of Management Accounts 
• The preparation of reports as may be required
• The preparation of VAT returns
• Any other duties as may be required for the smooth running of the department 

Education & Experience

• You must be a fully qualified Accountant or in the final stages of obtaining the qualification
• A minimum of 3-year previous local experience is a requirement

• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Team player
• Hard-working and organised
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Fluency in both Maltese & English
