Business Analyst (Insurance)

Our client is seeking to recruit a Business Analyst to join their team in Malta. Reporting directly to the Project Manager and working closely with production teams, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and gathering requirements and translating them into functional specifications
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes and the application systems that support them in order to challenge existing ways of working
  • Review and document existing business processes to suggest and implement improvements and enhancements
  • Creating workflow and processing diagrams for critical path analysis
  • Participate in all standard project life cycle activities
  • Liaise with vendors in the delivery of their services related to the requirements specified
  • Bring diverse groups of stakeholders together to reach a common understanding
  • Be efficient with the help of systems, automation, ways of working and technology
  • Perform audits for accuracy of changes to and optimization of new and existing processes
  • Develop, document, test and implement new policies, procedures, and processes
  • Support the business during UAT Process

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business and IT, related finance courses 
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience working within an Agile environment
  • Prior experience working within the insurance sector will be considered an asset

Desired Skills:

  • Must possess a strong command of the English Language
  • Fast-learner and self-motivated
  • Have proven business analysis skills
  • Pro-active and customer-oriented
