Knowledge Innovation Centre in Malta is looking to recruit a Financial Administrator to join their team on a part-time basis. 

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and meticulous team player with strong leadership and goal-oriented skills. Responsibilities include administering accounting records, posting of routine transactions, preparation and checking of sales invoices as well as HR records management. 


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the general ledger and respective reconciliations;
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports;
  • Assist in preparation of reporting to funding bodies in EU and government-funded projects;
  • Verify all travel reports and travel reconciliation requests;
  • Check allocation of staff against project budgets, and monitor time reporting of staff against budgets;
  • Ensure that the company’s financial policies are adhered to.


Requirements:
  • Advanced level of education in Accounting;
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Basic computer skills are essential;
  • Advanced Knowledge of Xero would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills in English;
  • Experience in EU project accounting and administration would be considered an asset;
  • Availability to start immediately;
  • We expect the chosen candidate to be available from 10 to 20 hours per week (the precise amount is negotiable).
  • A person should be available to work out of the company's offices in Swieqi on at least 2 days per week from Mon-Sat. (Times are negotiable. In addition, introductory periods may be worked from home due to COVID-19).
