J&C Pisani Ltd in Malta are looking to recruit an IT Officer to join their team on a full-time basis.
The selected candidate will have several responsibilities, including:
- Manage and monitor the IT infrastructure including servers, network devices, server OS, IT security, and backup solution
- Provide 2nd level support across different departments
- Contribute towards IT hardware procurement
- Assisting in Network installation and Configuration
- Up-keeping of the Technical inventory and documentation.
- Implementing and developing risk assessments, projects and contingency plans.
- Carrying out the administration, design and documentation of systems and services such as storage area networks, servers, firewalls, databases, wired/wireless networking, routers, virtual infrastructure, VOIP systems and security.
- Keeping up inventory and maintaining configuration reports.
- Installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading and fine-tuning production and office systems.
- Supporting the business units daily according to the company’s IT Service Management standards.
- Analyzing, developing and implementing new technology initiatives.
- Assisting in the decision making process regarding new systems and infrastructure-related projects.
- Dealing with clients and staff at the technical level.
- Providing internal training regarding existing and new technologies.
- Performing any other duties as required.
Education and experience:
- A diploma or other academic qualification in IT.
- At least 2 year of experience in a similar role is considered as an asset
- Knowledgeable in server technologies.
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, operating systems, and network issues.
