Senior ICT Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior ICT Specialist to join our team. This role involves managing the design, implementation, and maintenance of both IT and telecommunications infrastructure.

• Key Responsibilities: ICT Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage ICT infrastructures, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all ICT systems and services.

• Networking: Manage Installation, configuration, and management of LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks.

• Telecommunications: Manage telecommunications systems, including VoIP and Contact Centre solutions.

• Security: Work on Firewall systems. Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect ICT systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

• Server and Systems Administration: Manage and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers and system applications. Ensure high availability and reliability of server infrastructure, including virtual and cloud-based systems. Manage backup solutions. Maintaining Office 365 environments.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma ( Level 6 ) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering or a related field.

- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Security+, MCSE) are considered a plus.

- Proven experience (3+ years) in an ICT specialist or similar role, with a focus on both IT and telecommunications.

- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

- Knowledge in managing telecommunications systems, including VoIP and video conferencing.

- Experience with Windows based server administration

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

- Willingness to learn and advance in the IT field while maintaining a positive attitude

- Project management skills and experience leading ICT projects are considered a plus.

- Knowledge on Alcatel Lucent, HP, Aruba, Cisco and Juniper systems are considered a plus.

- Team lead and project delivery experience are considered a plus

- Driving License

- Be part of an on-call roster to cater for afterhours maintenance calls if needed.
