Assistant Purchasing Executive

Our client, a local importer and distributor, is looking to onboard an Assistant Purchasing Executive to join their growing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible to:

• Prepare purchase orders for electrical and plumbing goods to suppliers.
• Coordinate shipping and customs clearance of consignments.
• Monitor and check stock levels to ensure timely re-ordering.
• Manage stock pricing and participate in stock takes.
• Occasionally assist in manning the company’s electrical point of sale as needed.
• Participate in the Saturday morning roster at the company’s electrical outlet as part of the staff pool.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with inventory management software is an advantage
• Attention to detail for accurate stock monitoring and pricing.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the same role is a must
• Proficiency in both Maltese and English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with electrical and plumbing products is considered an asset
• Understanding of procurement processes, shipping, and customs clearance is a must
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
