About the Department

The Data Solutions team is pivotal in driving business efficiency and operational excellence by leveraging new and cutting-edge technologies and systems, primarily focusing on the Authority’s supervision and electronic records management processes. The team is dedicated to the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Authority’s new digital solutions and ensuring its alignment with business objectives, thereby enhancing data quality, integrity, user productivity and the overall user experience.

 

About the Role

As a Senior Pega Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining enterprise applications on the Pega Platform. This involves designing robust workflows, implementing automation solutions, and ensuring that systems align with business requirements. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to optimize business processes and deliver scalable, innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Application Development

  • Design and implement applications using the Pega Platform.
  • Build workflows, decision trees, and business rules.
  • Develop and test new functionalities while maintaining existing systems.

Solution Architecture

  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards.

Process Automation

  • Implement BPM workflows and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leverage Pega's capabilities like Case Management, Decisioning, and AI.

Integration

  • Integrate Pega applications with other systems via APIs, SOAP, REST, and message queues.
  • Work with databases using SQL and optimize data interactions.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Adhere to Pega guardrails and best practices.

Collaboration

  • Work with various cross-functional teams including but not only the project management, technology and quality teams.
  • Engage with stakeholders to refine requirements and provide technical expertise.

Maintenance & Support

  • Monitor and enhance Pega applications.
  • Debug issues and apply updates or patches as needed.

 

About You

We are seeking candidates with:

Requirements: A qualification at MQF Level 6 in Computer Science or a related field and 5 years prior experience in a related field. Alternatively, candidates with at least 10 years of relevant experience will also be considered.

Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with Pega Platform (Certified Pega System Architect or higher preferred). Knowledge of Pega features like Data Pages, Decision Tables, Case Lifecycle Management, and Activities.
  • Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, SQL, and integration technologies like REST/SOAP.

Skills:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interact with non-technical stakeholders and translate into complex technical concepts.  
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Problem-solving: Proficient in analysing and improving business processes.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to quickly adopt new technologies and adjust to evolving business needs.
