Handyman - General Maintenance

Shortletsmalta Ltd is looking to recruit General Maintenance Handyman to join their team on a full-time basis.

Job Role:

We are seeking to employ maintenance personnel to service the properties we manage for holiday rentals. The ideal candidate/s must have experience in general handyman duties to service rental apartments, be a team player and can handle most jobs related to the general upkeep and preventive works required from this position.

Responsibilities:

• General maintenance duties such as painting, plastering, plumbing, basic carpentry repair works, general electrical issues, replacement of appliances and equipment and other common odd jobs as required
• Identify issues related to common faults, perform repairs and installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and overall servicing of equipment normally encountered within holiday rental apartments
• Prepare vacated units for new clients checking in, ensuring that the unit meets the required standards
• Analyse all fault reports and requests for repairs
• Handle emergency maintenance and repair works. 

Requirements:

• Minimum one year experience in serviced apartments or similar posts
• Fluent in English with good communication skills, both verbal and written, is compulsory
• Can work unsupervised, have a passion to learn new skills, and willing to assist team members in other maintenance tasks when required
• Basic knowledge of the use of mobile apps to report feedback
• Can work shift rosters include evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Currently holds a residency permit and can work in Malta
• Possess a valid and recognised driving licence and has experience driving in Malta.
