General Maintenance Officer

Our client, operating a chain of catering establishments are looking for a General Maintenance Officer to perform preventive maintenance work and carry out regular
inspections and examine for defects in building services, plant, equipment, installations and appliances and keep relative records.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Attending to faults and breakdowns
• Establishing fault identifications and localization and subsequent repair works on extraction and refrigeration systems, ACs and grease traps
• Supervising contractors’ personnel carrying out servicing or installation works
• Performing technical support and assist with the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of new building services, equipment and installations
• Ensure that all operational, safety and security standards and regulations established by the company are adhered to at all times 
• Liaising via phone or email with companies to source specialized parts

• Be able to trouble shoot issues with kitchen area appliances, refrigeration, air-conditioning system and electrical equipment
• Able to work on own initiative
• Have excellent supervisory and communication skills (both written and verbal in English and Maltese)
• Possess leadership, assertiveness, ability to handle pressure and must not have fear of heights
• Be flexible and willing to work on weekends and public holidays in case of emergencies
• In possession of a clean driving license

• Have a minimum of two years’ experience working on industrial catering equipment
• Must be in possession of a Wireman's License A
• A relevant qualification in Refrigeration will be considered an asset
