Shop Assistant / Cashier

Gauci Borda & Co Ltd in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Shop Assistant / Cashier to join their team on a full-time basis.

Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and operating the cash register.

The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be friendly and approachable.
Must be able to speak and write in English.
Preference will be given to applicants who also know the Maltese language.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and assist them with their purchases
• Process payments accurately and efficiently
• Stock shelves and maintain store displays
• Answer customer inquiries and provide advice
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensure all products are properly labelled and priced.

Requirements:

• Fluent in spoken and written English and preferably Maltese
• Honest and hardworking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to learn new tasks
• No previous experience is necessary. In-house training will be provided
• Ability to stand for long periods.
