Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a cashier, who will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. You will operate cash registers, handle payments, and assist customers with inquiries or concerns. Attention to detail, basic math skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Processing: Ring up purchases accurately using the cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system. 
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to customers at all times. 
  • Cash Handling: Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy. Handle cash, checks, and other forms of payment securely and according to company policies.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and safety. 
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively and support team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
