Malta International Airport plc is looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about working with people within an Airport environment and are willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Technical Facilities Department on a full-time basis.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination, supervision and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance measures on airfield electrical power and control systems, cabling circuits and equipment related to the Airfield Ground Lighting.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance requirements with the preventive maintenance coordinator, ensuring compliance with EASA standards, manufacturers’ recommendations and good quality and safety work practices.
- Supervision of all airfield low voltage (415V) and high voltage (11kV) distribution networks, electrical sub-stations, switchboards, switchgear, electrical installations and related components.
- Constantly monitor, taking action whenever necessary on feedback associated with preventive and corrective work orders related to the airfield electrical power and control systems.
- Identify requirements and conduct training in electrical power and control systems related to airfield lighting systems, supported with adequate documented training material on processes and procedures.
- Maintain aerodrome electrical power and control infrastructure within the requirements and recommendations of EASA Standards.
- General upkeep of airfield technical workshops and sub-stores, ensuring they are adequately equipped with the necessary tools, test equipment, safety equipment and consumable items.
- Upkeeping of electrical plans, drawings, technical handbooks and reference manuals, ensuring documentation is kept updated at all times.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should:
- Have minimum 5 years’ experience in the Electrical Engineering industry.
- Possess the wiremen’s Licence A and B.
- Have excellent Management and Leadership skills.
- Have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly assess and resolve technical issues, with a proactive approach to identifying potential improvements and efficiencies.
