Director of Hotel Pre-Openings & Sustainability

HV Hospitality in Malta is looking to recruit an experienced and hands-on Director of Hotel Pre-Openings & Sustainability to lead pre-opening activities of hotels and resorts and oversee overall standard and service implementations.

Job Role: 
Based in Malta and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Hotel Pre-Openings & Sustainability will assist in defining the brand, product, service, and guest experiences that strike the perfect balance between luxury and sustainability at all properties. The Director of Hotel Pre-Openings & Sustainability will develop a strategy for hotel pre-openings, plan all back-of-house areas, establish detailed action plans for all departments, and provide leadership and direction to operational team members while liaising with contracted third parties with efficiency and effectiveness.

The Requirements: 
The successful candidate will be an operational hotel leader with a deep understanding of European sustainability market offerings, from strategic management to net-zero carbon, with substantial hands-on experience in a luxury hotel pre-opening operation, a sharp eye for detail, outstanding management skills, and extensive hands-on experience. The chosen candidate must be passionate about sustainability and regenerative practices, display impeccable integrity and dependability, have excellent issue resolution skills, and be able to build sustainable relationships with a diversified group of stakeholders.
