About Insurance & Pensions Supervision:

The Insurance and Pensions Supervision is responsible for the prudential supervision of insurance companies, insurance intermediaries, retirement schemes, retirement funds and retirement service providers. The team employs professionals with a varied background and comprises skills relating to insurance, pensions, accounting, legal, quantitative analysis, actuarial, compliance and others.

The Role:
Within this role you will be involved in:
  • Creation of databases/dashboards as required for the overall insurance market in Malta, with the ultimate aim to create dashboards that enhance risk-based supervision on a forward-looking basis;
  • Examples of databases that you may work on are databases that detect potential reserving issues based on a set of defined metrics, databases that explore the reinsurance exposure of Maltese License Holders, etc;
  • You will be also be requested to step in for 'ad hoc' tasks as required to be delivered by the actuarial team.

About You:
  • To qualify for this role, you will need to be currently reading for the first degree in a related area with a particular interest in Actuarial Studies;
  • You are a hard worker and diligent in carrying out your duties with limited supervision. Superb organisational skills are highly sought after and proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must.
