Foster Clark Products Ltd in Malta is looking to recruit an HR Business Partner to join their team on a full-time basis. 

Job Role:
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be an HR Generalist, providing HR consulting to and responsible for the people agenda within a Business Unit, specifically the Company’s Industrial / Operational functions.  This role is responsible for driving comprehensive and effective HR solutions to the partnered client group aligned with the company and HR Agenda.

Key Accountabilities:
Organisation Design & Sectional Strategy Delivery:

  • Support effective organisation design and development (OD&D) for the assigned business areas, with guidance from the Head of HR, and follow Company methodologies. Challenge gaps, overlaps and requirements.
  • Engage department heads to support organisation design and development for the assigned business areas, including future skills projection, progression, and succession planning.
  • Support employee surveys and collaborate with department heads to manage employer brand, and engagement and ensure action plans are developed and implemented.
  • Participate in HR Policy design and disciplinary processes as needed in line with prevailing labour policies, employment laws and regulations, as well as trends and developments.


Recruitment and Rewards Sectional Partnering:

  • Assist department heads to analyse headcount requirements and gaps and advise on resource planning options.
  • Prioritise critical open positions to be filled in consultation with line managers and guide them on the correct application of recruitment principles and processes.
  • Secure involvement of the assigned business areas in the onboarding processes to assimilate new hires.
  • Support line managers in the correct usage of Company compensation strategies and programmes.
  • Prepare documents and support the negotiations process with respect to the Company’s Collective Agreements and ensure the successful rollout of such agreements.


Employee Relations & Talent Development Sectional Partnering:

  • Support department heads within the assigned business areas to enable the execution of talent management and career progression initiatives in line with Company methodologies.
  • Coach and support the Performance Management cycle.  Assist the assigned business areas in building talent development plans and identifying and managing high-performing individuals. 
  • Help the HoHR in the process of central alignment and calibration for the performance review process and KPI scoring.
  • Following the Company training programmes, support the assigned business units to define high-impact training needs and gaps.
  • Coach employees with respect to programmes for career progression in the organisation.
  • Provide information, guidance, and support to employees on company policies, procedures, and benefits, including matters related to employment status (e.g., maternity, flexible work arrangements, retirement) 
  • Communicate with employees on areas such as benefits and claims eligibility and administration, payroll deductions, retirement, re-employment, and termination guidelines.

  • Modifications of practices and procedures, determine own priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Psychology or another related course of studies.


Experience:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of business partnering experience in a similar position within the FMCG Manufacturing sector.
  • Aggregate 3 years of previous specialist experience in the fields of Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits Management, Organisation Design and Talent Development
  • Experience in dealing with Employee Relations / Industrial Relations issues
  • Leadership skills: leading others


Technical Skills:

  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into organization development plans
  • Development of procedures
  • Strong knowledge of HR Processes and Policies
  • Generalist knowledge of HR functions
  • Solid knowledge of employment legislation and Industrial relations
  • Knowledge of HRMS and office software
  • Manufacturing experience to be able to relate to technical terms will be considered an asset
