Laundry Attendant

About the Role

Paradise Bay Hotel & Resort is seeking a reliable and hardworking Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all hotel linen, staff uniforms, guest laundry, and departmental garments are cleaned, maintained, and distributed efficiently while upholding the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, iron, fold, and distribute hotel linen, towels, bed sheets, and pillowcases.
• Process guest laundry and ensure timely delivery to guest rooms.
• Wash and maintain staff uniforms, including kitchen, restaurant, housekeeping, animation, and Porto Lounge uniforms.
• Prepare and replenish housekeeping trolleys with clean linen.
• Collect, sort, count, and process dirty linen from hotel departments.
• Receive, count, and organise linen returned from external laundry suppliers.
• Issue clean linen, uniforms, and amenities to hotel staff as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry, linen room, seamstress room, changing rooms, corridors, and staff toilets.
• Ensure laundry equipment and work areas are kept clean and operated safely.
• Follow hotel hygiene, health & safety, and housekeeping procedures at all times.
• Assist with additional laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is considered an asset.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move linen bags.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
