Events and Banqueting Manager

Job Description
IBB Hammett's Operations Limited in Malta is growing and looking to recruit an organized, experienced, passionate, and creative Events and Banqueting Manager to join their team on a full-time basis and provide its customers with a first-class banquet experience join their team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Discussing sales contract details with the banquet sales manager and the head chef;
• Preparation of Banquet event orders and responsible to ensure they are issued in a timely matter;
• Planning the venue layout according to the number of guests and the type of event;
• Determining the number of table waiters and servers required;
• Supervising the set up of every event;
• Consulting with the Head Chef regarding the timing of meal courses to be served;
• Overseeing the seating of guests, the serving of meals and beverages, and the clearing of tables;
• Monthly stocktake;
• Preparing work schedules;
• Answering customers' questions and accommodating special requests.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Accredited certificate or diploma in catering, culinary arts, hospitality, or similar;
• 3-5 years of experience in banquet management, or similar;
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills;
• Exceptional ability to plan banquets, manage budgets, and meet deadlines;
• Experience in supervising banquet venue staff;
• Ability to collaborate with the sales department and Head Chefs;
• Extensive knowledge of catering equipment and venue requirements;
• In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry best practices;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
