An Assistant General Manager Position is currently available with a leading Beauty Retail Brand in Malta. Reporting to the General Manager, your duties will include;
Designing strategy and setting goals for growth across all retail operation
Controlling budgets and optimizing expenses
Keeping abreast of shop-floor operations through shop visits and ensuring employees are motivated and productive
Setting policies and processes
Ensuring employees work productively and actively engage in their professional development
Overseeing recruitment and training of new employees
Evaluating and improving operations and financial performance
Preparing regular reports for upper management
Providing solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Maintaining communication with suppliers to improve business
Overseeing all departments and make sure they are functioning well.
Approving monthly payments
Skill-sets and Requirements
Must be based in Malta and hold a valid driving license
Solid knowledge of accounting processes, having an understanding of cashflows and P&L's
Strong business Acumen
A people's person with strong leadership skills
Education & Experience
Previous experience in retail management is required, affinity to the beauty industry is a plus.
Diploma or Degree level of education would be desirable
