Technical Drafter

Job Description
Andrew Vassallo General Trading in Malta is looking to recruit a Technical Drafter to join their team on a full-time basis. The chosen candidate will report to the Steel Team Leader. 

Job Overview:
As a Technical Drafter, the main objective is to successfully prepare Quotations, Sketches, Detailed Drawings, and Invoices. Liaising with project team members is necessary to achieve customers satisfaction in an efficient time frame.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Consulting with clients to determine job requirements.
• Suggesting a variety of material offered by the company to meet client expectations.
• Preparing rough sketches to produce Quotations by calculating appropriate type of material & specifications for jobs both in Steel & Glass Panels.
• Produce detailed drawings both in 2D & 3D using computer-aided design (CAD) software from rough sketches and specifications given by other team members.
• Ensure and record all works received from suppliers and preparation of Installation Material.
• Coordinating Installations with team leader/head of the section.
• Preparation of Invoicing.
• Coordination of complaints or issues with Team Leader/Section Manager/Head.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.
• Work under supervision.
• Versatile to be able to work on several projects in a short period.
• Willing to work consistently to meet deadlines.
• Good communication with other team members.
• Maintain a flexible attitude and make oneself available to longer working hours, as required, for successful job completion.
• Report personal or inter-personal concerns to management to try and find effective and efficient ways of doing things.

• Preserve and protect all company equipment such as computers and peripheral devices and report any damages immediately to manager.
• Minimise water and energy consumption when not needed

• Assume other tasks or jobs that may be assigned by management from time to time.
