Inspire Foundation in Malta are looking to recruit a Music and/or Drama Therapist on a part-time or freelance basis (mornings only) to work within our School Outreach Programme (SOP).
The SOP supports a number of children with disabilities, who are integrated into mainstream schooling, to develop their social, emotional, academic, and all-around life skills. This is done using a number of unique facilities and approaches to achieve client-centered goals.
Job Role:
The chosen candidate/s will be expected to develop group goals, and develop a therapeutic relationship through music and/or drama, whilst identifying areas for growth (particularly focused in areas such as communication, social and emotional development, and engagement). They will work within a multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to plan and carry out sessions with small groups of children, develop goals, and contribute towards regular reports that will document the children’s progress.
Qualification Requirements:
The ideal candidate should:
Possess a diploma in Music or Drama Therapy (candidates possessing either qualification are invited to apply).
*Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunisation.
