Tax Supervisor

A new opportunity of Tax Supervisor has arisen within corporate services. Reporting to the Tax Manager, the chosen candidate will be responsible for: 

Responsibilities:

• Leading the Tax Compliance team on the responsibility for a portfolio of clients as well as in providing guidance to the team from a technical perspective
• Signing off on completed work done by other members for more complex clients
• Acting as a point of referral for more junior team members 
• Being co-responsible for the quality and assurance of the department, ensuring processes are working efficiently and effectively
• Reporting to management on a regular basis whilst also attending meeting with clients 

• A strong understanding of local tax is essential
• Previous experience of 4-5 years in a similar role would be required
• Deadline driven and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills in English whilst Maltese would be considered an asset
• Proficient in the use of the Microsoft office suite

• Possession of a diploma or professional certificate in taxation would be considered beneficial
