Senior Accountant

A great opportunity has just opened for a Senior Accountant to join a reputable aviation company in Malta. The finance department is made up of a very approachable and supportive team who will dedicate time for training and growth

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring adherence to VAT regulations and producing accurate reports for tax authorities
• Overseeing and controlling the accounts receivable process, including tracking and collecting outstanding payments from customers when necessary
• Examining the company's revenue and expenses to evaluate and improve profit margins
• Assessing the financial aspects of various projects to determine their feasibility and profitability
• Monitoring and controlling expenses within different departments
• Monthly management accounts in accordance with IFRS
• Identifying weaknesses in internal financial controls and implementing measures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Supporting the audit process and contributing to the development and management of financial budgets
• Other ad hoc financial reporting as instructed by management from time to time

• At least 2 years of previous local experience doing up to management accounts
• A team player who takes initiative and thrives when working in a team
• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Fully qualified through ACCA or equivalent
