Management Accountant

Ably Resources Limited in Malta is currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their client's team on a full-time basis.

About the Client:
Our Client is a large Group of Companies operating in a range of sectors throughout Malta. Due to continued expansion, a Management Accountant is now required to take financial responsibility for a specific unit within the business, focussed on production.

Job Role:
This role will include the management of a team; supervision of finance operations; preparation of management accounts; major involvement in budget preparations; together with analysis and performance-related reports.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
• Set up and analysis of production KPIs on a regular basis
• Analysis of monthly results and reports on improvement
• Monitoring and leading the Finance Team
• Preparation and submission of quarterly V.A.T. Returns.
• Overall responsibility for company inventory recording, verifications and investigations of any discrepancies
• Reporting of statistical information to NSO
• Preparation of documentation and liaison with external auditors in anticipation and during the company’s statutory audit
• Preparation and submission of annual MBR requirements.

 
Talent will:

• Possess a relevant qualification or be in the final stages of acquiring such
• Demonstrate several years of experience in a similar position
• Preferably have experience working with a manufacturer – although this is not essential
• Have excellent knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards and regulations
• Possess excellent Microsoft Excel skill
• Be a confident communicator with excellent organisation skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
